You will get a box saying \u201cValidating AutoUpdater\u201d.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-484\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AutoValidatingAuto.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"251\" height=\"131\" \/><br \/>\nAt this point one would assume it has frozen because the validation takes a long time (About 120 seconds), but it has not.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI';\">2. You will get the first error box.\u00a0 Although it recommends \u2018No\u2019, click \u2018Yes\u2019:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-464 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AutoUpdateCant.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"461\" height=\"216\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AutoUpdateCant.jpg 461w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AutoUpdateCant-300x141.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI';\">3. Another wait box appearing to be frozen:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-494\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AutoWait.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"130\" \/><br \/>\nThis took about 120 seconds on my pc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI';\">4. 2nd \u2018error\u2019 message.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-474 size-full\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AutoUpdaterMessages.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"475\" height=\"230\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AutoUpdaterMessages.jpg 475w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AutoUpdaterMessages-300x145.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 475px) 100vw, 475px\" \/><br \/>\nThis time it recommends \u2018Yes\u2019 and it finally takes you to the update.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI';\">What happened to the updater?<br \/>\nThraex software has sadly closed shop.\u00a0 Thraex produced the Astrum installer software used to install and update Ol Monitor.\u00a0 As installers go, Astrum was the best and slickest in my opinion but I guess they weren\u2019t marketing enough.\u00a0 Since their website is down the updater is unable to connect to update itself, but it still works just fine to update Ol Monitor.\u00a0 I haven\u2019t found a suitable replacement for Astrum as of yet.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI';\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Lately there have been some issues with the Ol Monitor updater.
