2 displays from one pc

Good afternoon Eric,

We have been duly impressed with your system and are considering purchasing the 2 license system. Is there any way we can place the 2 licenses on one computer and drive two different monitors. One would be for hematology and one for chemistry. We would like not having to run two computers simultaneously for this.

If you just wanted to send the same display to 2 different areas this is possible using a vga multiplexer and long vga cables. This is what we do in our lab we have one main display by the computer and about 5 other monitors in all the different areas. It was a cheap solution since the hospital had a computer ‘graveyard’ with an abundance of functional monitors.
However if you are thinking of running a hematology configuration and a chemistry configuration then this might present a problem as the 2 olmonitor programs running simultaneously on the same pc would probably crash quickly if it worked at all.
The program doesn’t need much pc power you could revive an old system for it if cost is the issue.
If space is the issue I recently went to some training at Abbott and their labs were running some incredibly small pc’s from dell, only a little bigger than a shoebox.
